Rob got a grant to do research in Spain - so we took advantage and visited Francetoo. Crepes to die for; ancient, gorgeousbuildings and grounds. The Eiffel Towerwas amazing - sooo high and scary but we did it!

Rob (excuse me, Doctor Martinsen) and one of his classes had a fiesta. Doesn't he just fit right in? He loves working at BYU and is doing an amazing job. He has been really successful in publishing his research and is a fantastic teacher. Lots of work, great people to work with, great hours:)
Nebo District hired me to teach second grade at East Meadows in Spanish Fork. I absolutely loved it! This is my fabulous team - Amberly Lee, Kristy Alger, and Tracy Warenski. We had so much fun together, going to work was a happy thing!

Our cozy little duplex nestled near the bottom of the mountains. It's a great spot.
Good times. Our side of the duplex had hundreds of holes in the walls from random pics students had hung all over. So we filled in all the holes, painted redid the carpet and baseboards, repainted the outside of the house. Wow, so much work. We were in huge mess for a long time. It was really rewarding when it was all done. We're so grateful to Marc and Paka for helping us. Gems.
After searching for what seemed like forever, we decided to buy an investment property, a duplex close to BYU campus. Our great friends, Marc and Paka, own several and so are experts - they helped us so much to renovate and get settled. This shows the great fun job of tearing out the carpet and all the tiny staples:)
I got to serve with these amazing young women while in the Grandview 2nd ward. We really enjoyed this ward, the short time we were here anyway. Rob was called as a ward missionary and had a blast. There was actually a lot of work to do in that area.
