Oh Canada!

We (Jodi, Carli, Caleb, Olivia, and I), went to Grandma and Grandpa Monson's in Canada for Kevin's wedding open house. Like a dummy, I forgot that even at the end of August, it can be extremely chilly up there - so I ended up buying Livvy a mini winter wardrobe! We had so much fun. I absolutely love going up there. Life is so simple and much slower than it is here. The town and people pretty much stay the same, not to mention, it's gorgeous. Southern Alberta is therapeutic.

Grandma Monson has a myriad of bird feeders and spends a lot of time bird watching. She is so knowledgeable about plants and animals and is always learning. The kids loved filling up the bird feeders and seeing all the birds swoop down to eat.

Quality time watching a little T.V. with Great Grandma Cahoon and Caleb.

This is where Livvy spent a lot of time - in the sandbox.

Four wheeling with Grandpa Monson. Livvy loved the fourwheeler - I found her a couple of times just sitting on it with her hands on the handlebars pretending to be driving. A biker chick in the making.

Swingin' with the cousins. Livvy lasts about 4.2 seconds on each part of the swing, then she's ready to move on. It was funny having her and Caleb, the two 18 month olds running around the house - if I could just have an eighth of their energy, what I could do!

Future concert pianists.

Steve was a great sport and took the kids on a wagon ride several times. It was a hit! So nice to have all that room. In the back you can see some of Grandpa's trees - he has spent a lot of time planting beautiful trees all around their property.

Grandma and Grandpa have a ton of fun books - all those teaching years of Books are Fun hanging around in the teachers' lounge. The grand kids love them, especially Livvy!

Uncle Kev is so fun. Livvy loves it when he plays with her and she loves to give him kisses on the cheek:) He and Jaime's open house went really well and now Mom can breathe again! We will miss Kev and Jaime when they go back to Texas.
